Miles Davis’ trumpet in Ascona!
A magnificent – as well as a historical – piece of craftsmanship, the iconic Moon&Stars trumpet, commissioned and then played by Miles Davis in the 1980’s, will be on display for the first time in Europe at JazzAscona. It can be admired during the festival at the Blue Llama Terrace, located in front of the New Orleans stage.
But there is more, because if you are a trumpet player and dream of playing Miles’ very own trumpet, accompanied by the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, in front of the festival audience, on Wednesday, June 26, you can enter the Kind Of Blue Trumpet Competition.
