EAR WE GO Orchestra

The joyful freedom of jazz in the service of musical learning is at the heart of the EAR WE GO project. Trombonist Gilles Repond, singer Amanda Rougier Appignani and drummer Mattia Terzi are once again offering a free three-day workshop focusing on the experience of making music together.

The workshop will focus on Stevie Wonder‘s repertoire, which will be presented in “second line” style. The workshop is open to anyone aged 12 and over; no music reading or theoretical skills are required. It is a 2-hour workshop taking place over three days, with a small final performance on stage on Sunday, June 23. Ear We Go is presented in collaboration with Febati, the Scuola Popolare di Musica della Città di Locarno, the Accademia Ticinese di Musica Moderna and other schools and choirs in the region. We look forward to seeing you there to make music together!

The workshop takes place at Piazzale Elvezia (see map):

Friday, June 21, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. (workshop, Piazzale Elvezia)
Saturday, June 22, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. (workshop, Piazzale Elvezia)
Sunday, June 23, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. (workshop, Piazzale Elvezia)
Sunday, June 23, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. (concert, Stage Chiesa)

In case of bad weather, the workshop will be cancelled.

No registration required, just remember to bring your instrument at the Piazzale Elvezia.

The workshop is free of charge!

The workshop is open to everyone (minimum age: 12 years old), it is not necessary to know how to read music, nor music theory.
