Dance Workshops

The 40th edition of JazzAscona will focus on dance, declined in a thousand different expressions, from swing to lindy hop and boogie-woogie, from funky to latin, from flamenco to capoeira, from burlesque (of note is the great return from New Orleans of the iconic Trixie Minx) to tango.

The dance workshops are free of charge and open to anyone, held daily by professional dancers in the early evening and on a special platform in front of the Elvezia stage. Later at 9 p.m. concerts take place on stage that are stylistically akin to the dance just learned at the workshop.
