LocarnOrleans Returns: the Heart of Jazz Beats in Locarno!

Once again this year, JazzAscona is expanding beyond the city of Ascona: the festival spreads its magic across the Locarno region, bringing the spirit of jazz to several charming towns.

📍 Save the date: Thursday, July 3rd — LocarnOrleans is back!
An afternoon celebration in true New Orleans style, featuring exceptional performers.
At 4:00 PM, the talented young musicians of the Trombone Shorty Foundation Brass Band, accompanied by Grand Marshal Chyna Doll, will kick off a lively parade through Locarno’s old town. The procession will start in Piazza Sant’Antonio, pass through the iconic Piazza Grande, and arrive at the Locarno Casino.

🎶 Starting from 5:00 PM, the jazz continues with a semi-acoustic open-air concert right outside the Locarno Casino. The atmosphere will be intimate yet full of energy — unmistakable rhythms, heartfelt performances, and a setting made for lovers of live music.

For one day a year, the streets of Locarno turn into a little New Orleans.
