Hammond player Alberto Marsico meets the talents of Sonja Priehn

Alberto Marsico, one of the most highly regarded hammond players around today, returns to JazzAscona. We will also hear him in a duo with the talented German singer Sonja Priehn, an artist who sings in various ensembles, writes songs and poetry. Marsico has collaborated with Jazz musicians such as Jimmy Cobb, Bobby Durham, Kenny Burrell, Joey DeFrancesco, Fabrizio Bosso, Jimmy Witherspoon, Enrico Rava, Jesse Davis and Alvin Queen. He has performed all over the world and given seminars at numerous European conservatories. In 2013 and 2014 he recorded for the prestigious Verve Records label (two CDs with Fabrizio Bosso and Jeremy Monteiro.) To his credit he has six solo albums and fifty more collaborations on albums with various other artists.
