Anglo-American singer, percussionist and composer Ali Affleck grew up in New Orleans and is  based in Scotland for over a decade. Multiple finalist and winner of the Scottish Jazz Awards, she is active in various ensembles, performing original material as well as a wide repertoire of standards and unusual works from the jazz and prohibition era. Her concerts at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival have sold out in a matter of days and in Ascona she will lead a trio of excellent musicians, also featuring Enrico Tomasso, one of the best trumpet players of the British trad jazz scene.
