The Hochschule Luzern – Musik, one of our partners of the Groovin’ Up program presents the Abou Samra Quintet. This is a dynamic Jazz quintet from Lucerne, offering an energetic fusion of different genres Jazz, Arabic classical music and popular music. The band members all have a long musical history and bring a wide range of influences to their music. Together they create a vibrant atmosphere, seeking to engage and touch the audience on an emotional level. The repertoire includes both original compositions by Samir Rachide and Felix Geidel and new interpretations and arrangements of popular songs with both Western and Arabic roots.
