Acclaimed New Orleans vocalist Meschiya Lake meets The Jungle Jazz Band: upbeat, danceable Hot Jazz

Repeatedly awarded “best female vocalist” and “best traditional Jazz artist” at the “Best of the Beat” Awards, Meschiya Lake is one of New Orleans’ most acclaimed Trad Jazz voices. A true force of nature, Meschiya Lake is originally from South Dakota and discovered New Orleans when she was touring with a circus troupe. She has resided in the Delta City since 2007, where she quickly established herself as an entertainer and a singer. 

After her 2018 debut, we find her again at JazzAscona 2024 with a slightly reshuffled lineup from the one that accompanied her in 2018. The band is called The Jungle Jazz Band and consists of six young musicians living in Berlin who share the same passion for old New Orleans Jazz. Hot, entertaining and danceable: a band not to be missed!
