Between soul, groove and rap: MISS C-LINE, a new voice to enjoy
The young singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist MISS C-LINE introduces herself to the JazzAscona audience. MISS C-LINE is a promising young exponent of the Swiss neo-soul scene. Originally from Bern/Basel, her music combines soul and groove, incorporating elements of hip-hop and jazz to create a unique style. With influences such as Erykah Badu, The Roots and Robert Glasper, MISS C-LINE writes and produces her own songs. Her debut album “Surreal” in 2020 entered international playlists.
MISS C-LINE graduated with honors in Vocal Jazz from Jazzcampus Basel and holds a master’s degree in performance/production. She was the winner of the “New Generation Jazz Lab Contest 2021” in St. Moritz, where she had such artists as Omar Sosa, Lee Ritenour and Iiro Rantala as teachers. Despite her young age, MISS C-LINE has already collaborated with international artists, including Casey Benjamin, Jeff Ballard, Reel Beetz, JayJules, Amber Window, and Swiss rappers such as Nativ and KT Gorique.
