Lots of music from around the world, but also local!

Jun 23, 2024 | News

Some thirty daytime and evening concerts to be enjoyed this Sunday, June 23.

Focusing on the lakeside programme, we would like to point out the early evening dance event in Piazza Elvezia: with some milonga between 6 and 7.30 pm and boogie woogie and swing from 7.30 pm.

On the main stage (Stage New Orleans) we will welcome back, with great pleasure (from 8 to 9.30 p.m.) Iris Moné, our versatile Ticino singer with an international imprint who moves between pop, soul and funk.

In the course of the evening, some of the audience’s favourite bands will then take turns, starting with this year’s revelation, Eliza Sonnenschein & the Sunshine Avenue Band (Stage Chiesa, 22:00 – 23:30).

Also worth following is the Ascona debut of the Filippo Valli Quartet, a young Groovin’ Up group from Ticino that moves between jazz, groove and fusion and has already been nominated for the ZKB Jazzpreis in 2023, highlighting some young Swiss talents (Blue Llama Terrace, 21:30 – 22:30).
