Three great trombonists meet for a sparkling performance
Danilo Moccia from Ticino, Yuu Uesugi from Japan, and Chris Butcher from New Orleans: three great trombonists come together for a truly unique concert that promises to sparkle. Danilo Moccia and Yuu Uesugi, for the first time at JazzAscona, met during a cultural exchange between Switzerland and Japan, playing together in 2016 and 2019 on two Twobones tours conducted in their respective countries. Chris Butcher for his part is an accomplished musician and a member of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. Completing the lineup are New Orleans pianist Victor Atkins, whom Moccia befriended last year at JazzAscona, Massimo Caracca on drums and Valerio Della Fonte on bass. Fun is guaranteed!
