Led by multi-instrumentalist Mauro L. Porro, also known to the audience in Ascona as the leader of the Chicago Stompers and an important representative of Italian Hot Jazz, the Hot Gravel Eskimos discover their joy for the Jazz tradition. With period instruments, faithfully reproduced orchestrations and a stage presence inspired by the fashion of the Swing era, Porro and his ensemble offer a repertoire of well-known and lesser-known tunes that originated in the third and fourth decade of the last century.
