Slidestream’s music for three trombones and rhythm section

The name Slidestream, is a combination of the words slide (of the trombone) and stream (mainstream), which clearly refers to the group’s style and line-up: a jazz ensemble consisting of three trombones and a rhythm section.

Three identical instruments might suggest boredom or perhaps competitive solo pieces, but this is not the case here. On the contrary, the emphasis is much more on the use of varied and interesting arrangements than on the solos. Although everyone is given sufficient space for improvisation.

The repertoire includes well-known standards as well as compositions, and arrangements by Danilo Moccia.
