THE ECHOES OF DJANGO

The Echoes of Django, a variable collective in honor of the great gypsy, hero of an entire people

The Echoes of Django are a collective of musicians founded on the shores of Lake Geneva in the spring of 2018. The collective presents several artistic projects that celebrate the music of the famous guitarist Django Reinhardt. Each of these projects deals with a specific period of Django’s work. However, each musician in the collective brings along his own universe and energy to create a homogeneous ensemble with a unique and evolving sound.

First on fiddle, then on banjo, and finally on guitar, Django Reinhardt gave birth to a style of Jazz in its own right, gypsy jazz, a music that is the result of the encounter between gypsy heritage and 1930s Jazz.
